Jon Kabat-Zinn, an MIT-trained molecular biologist, has been one major driving force who made meditation t become mainstream medicine. Dozens of studies have since shown the benefits of what he termed Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) in treating cardiovascular disease, depression, addictions, chronic pain and many other conditions.In January, 2012, Time magazine published an interview with Jon on its website, in which Kabat-Zinn talked about his efforts in promoting meditation and how beginner should start to do it.
